Budget line
One row of a budget: an amount for a period, cut by location, department, type and category.
A budget line is the unit a budget is controlled at: one amount for a period and a mix of location, department, Opex or Capex type, category and GL code. In Vintage People an annual line carries twelve monthly amounts, an Original budget locked when it is published, and a Revised budget that changes only through approved revisions and transfers. Spending requests are checked against the line's available balance.
