Statutory Deduction
A deduction required by law: PAYE, pension and NHF.
Statutory deductions are those an employer must withhold and remit by law — chiefly PAYE tax, pension and NHF. They must be calculated accurately and remitted on time to the relevant authorities to avoid penalties.
